Beer Biden!
19 Obama's....14 Change's... 10 America's... 14 McCain's.... Four Bush's.... Three Iraq's... Three Washington's... and a Partridge in a pear tree!!!
As my roommate... we'll call him 'Len'... and I prepared to watch V.P. hopeful Joe Biden take the mic at the DNC... we decided to include our favorite thing into a speech that could ultimately end up a footnote in an already historical presidential campaign. And what is that wonderful thing?
Wait for it.... Wait for it... Okay now...
BEER!
The concept is simple... every time Joe Biden utters the following...
Barrack Obama, John McCain, George Bush, Change, Hope, Gas, Iraq, or Washington... we would have to slug down a swig of delicious Natural light.
Well... about 6 minutes into the approximately 8 and a half minute speech... 'Len' and I were both begging for mercy from the 'salt of the earth Scranton Pennsylvanian.'
When the dust settled, I had about 60 ounces of the 'smooth pilsner with all natural ingredients' in my stomach... and an unquantifiable amount of gas belched into the stratosphere of Apartment 445.
This powerful display of alcoholic gluttony... without the 'man that Washington couldn't change' even mentioning our 'wild card keywords'... 'Brainwashing' and 'Scare Tactics'.
(If he had... that would have meant 'Len' and I would have have to slam an entire beer.)
So what does this mean? Who knows... politicians are predictable??... 'Len' and I like the sauce? the possibilities go on and on.
The speech... by and large... underwhelming.
Barrack is good... McCain is Bad. Heard that before!
Sorry, I dont mean to sound so cynical... I am a full fledged out of the closet Barack supporter, and look forward to the next four (eight?) years of ObamAmerica.
Well, i'm a little drunk so i'm gonna end this blog.
Does anyone have any suggestions for an Obama Drinking game tomorrow night?

1) whatever it is the game def. has to include the phrase "we can" and the word change!
2) Dude, I think you were focused too much on your sauce and not enough on Biden's speech. His speech was totally solid and powerful. I feel great with him in the passenger seat now and Obama at the helm. Looking forward to the rest of the DNC and furthermore voting 08!
3) I'm amazed at the accuracy of your typing if you were drunk. In face, the thought occurs that you were perhaps not quite as drunk as you thought....afteral it was only natural.....and light at that! :-)
4) One of your better blogs. Len must have written it.
5) Don't you know that politics and alcohol don't mix? I'm a little disappointed that you didn't end your blog with a slurred version of How Dry I Am. Seems like you and Len don't need much of an excuse to over indulge in brewsky.
