Who Wins Second Place (Veep) in Springfield Saturday and Why?
This blog is designed as an informal poll about the announcement that will be made in Springfield on Saturday, concerning the democrat nominee for vice president..
Based on why I see, if I were a Democrat, the only logical choice would be Hillary, but as all of you, he can't trust her.
So, I predict Biden will get the nod due to his attack dog style, his credentials on foreign matters and the fact that he can shore up the lack of experience issue for Obama.
On the GOP side, I predict Romney, who I think next to Hillary was the most qualified candidate. Romney will bring strength to McCain's weakness on the economy, might put Mass. into play (Obama will win Mass. but might have to spend some money there) and Romney might deliver Michigan.
The negative on Romney is that much of the right wing base thinks Mormons belong to some type of cult and thus some of them might stay home.
I heard an interesting interview on AirAmerica the other day. They interviewed some long time pollster from Zogby (I think), and he said that McCain needs to rally the right wing evangelicals and that Huckabee SHOULD be his choice. I thought it was interesting but I highly doubt he would go that far. This pollster said that despite Huckabee's right wing agenda (which I am all for by the way), those 2 would beat any ticket except for Obama/Hillary.
Disagreement leads to conversation leads to thought leads new ideas leads to diversified leadership leads to better run country.
