Surprise and Thankfulness

I know that the BeanCounter37 can be very sarcastic on this site sometimes; however, this morning I had a Conversion Experience, when my wife awaken me and told me that a tornado had come up I-95 and struck in a town 10 miles North of us. Now Iknow that to you Midwesterners a tornado is an ordinary event; however, what scared is that our house is located .6 of a mile off of I-95. My dog was whinning when it passed; however, I was sound asleep and I only heard a quite sound. I did not think much of it because we live on a quite busy road. May be God is telling the Bean something and I think that it is time that the Bean listens.

1) Beano, I'm glad to hear you're OK. When I heard on the news that the tornado hit Kenly, I knew it was very close to you. I'm glad you were spared but I hope you will take that as a sign to have a new beginning. Some people in your neighborhood weren't so lucky. I hope you really did have a "conversion experience." Nobody on this site, including me, wants to hear any more of your racist comments or your unsympathetic remarks, especially when they concern the President-elect of the United States. We all owe him our respect and at least the chance to lead our country in a righteous way. Let's see what he can do and give him our support.

I hope you know that you have hurt some people with your heartless remarks, and I definitely think that you owe Spike and her family an apology. And I hope that from now on you will consider yourself just another person on God's green earth like all the other people, and I hope you will be able to understand that you're no better or no worse than anybody else. I know that you have a lot of goodness in you. I'd like to see it more often. I hope and pray this will be a new beginning for you......a nicer, kinder, gentler Beano. I'm glad you and your family escaped harm last night.

3) Don't worry Nancy I am going to do just what you said. How did the movie production go to today? Some time when you and Steve have been to the OBX, I would like for you to come by this area, so I can show you that I am very of what I have done. I gave the Homestead at the Tobacco Farm Life Museum.

5) Only you can give me a lecture like that and make it have meaning like you do. The more I see of Obama I believe he is going to try to be a good president but the cards that he is dealt will determine his performance. This financial mess we have have has contributed by all facets of the economy.

6) I especially wish to apologise to Spike and his wife because I said some very inappropriate things about her losing her job. I have always found that there is a silver lining to every black cloud, but it some time to find it.

7) President-elect Obama will have to face all kinds of problems - two wars, an economic disaster, high gas prices, global warming, etc. I don't think he has all the answers but I think he is smart enough to gather around him people who can give him good advice and hopefully together they can figure it out. I don't envy him!

11) And Bean, since you asked, the movie production this morning went OK but it was verrrrrrry cold! Several of us showed up at a high school and we shot the angry mob scene. Humzooers there besides me, Steve and Dave were Limey George, Karen Thompson and the adorable Shoos. All I know is that my toes and fingers were frozen. We'll go back in a few hours to help shoot a restaurant scene downtown. At least that will be inside. It is very cold and windy here today and it's trying to snow.

12) Wasn't Bob your older brother? The one who was a Theta Chi at NCSU? I worked with a Theta Chi that knew Bob, his name was Roger Fulbright from Hickory.

14) The BeanCounter would have fit in perfectly in the "Mad Mob" Scene. Had Dave been shooting down here this morning it have been cold and windy and with some sprinkles. If the weather had been so nasty today, Bev and I would have been headed to Raleigh to NCState Football Game; however, when we decided not to go I was able to sell my tickets via the Internet.

18) Bob is actually the oldest brother, but he is younger than you because you are the oldest of all of the siblings.

20) Nancy, we didn't hear any sirens because Kenly is some what isolated from us by about 10 miles. The Northern End of the County has its own Fire and Rescue Facilities along being able to call on units from the two neighboring counties.

21) I just thought if the tornado came that close to you that the sirens would have gone off where you are. Do you know what direction the tornado was coming from?

22) Nancy the tornado came from Southeast to Northwest. The storm was tracked from South of The Border (Dillion,SC) up the I-95 corridor past Lumberton,Fayetteville,Dunn,Smithfield-Selma,Micro, and Kenly. It turned left slightly at Kenly still followed I-95 until it hit Elm City. It left NC with no more damage after leAVING wILSON cOUNTY.

26) You were talking about being cold during the movie shooting, I later watched Ohio State and Illinois play and I saw the reason that you said you were frozen. Not even Hot Coffee and Armstrong Heaters help much in those situations.

29) Thank you for the compliment, Bean, but you won't ever be able to vote for me for President because I'll never run! I think that would be the hardest job in the world. I don't know why anyone would want it. They can have it!!!!

31) Latest reports are that the tornado victims families are getting help, along with the survivors families. Many of the homes were mobile homes and the damaage was extensive to those homes. area is relatively North West of Kenly in a community where there are large farming operations. As far as financial relief, I have not heard any address, where you can send money.
