Women Voters

In the 2004 Presidental Election, there 51% of the electorate made up of women. It seems that obama by neglecting and overlooking Ms. Clinton has made a blunder that will cost him the election because John McCain picked the Governor of Alaska, who is a real woman that adds the Family Side tat many voters are looking for. Leave your opinions below in the comments section.

3) As a woman, I have more sense to vote based on someone's gender or race. I don't believe Ms. Palin is ready to take over the presidency in an emergency. She is a rising star but needs a little more experience. I can only try to make an informed decisions based on reading her credentials and platform. There are many issues that I just don't agree with. I do admire and appreciate what she has done as far as cleaning up after her predecessor in Alasksa. My gut feeling is that this is just a stupid contrived move by McCain and his team.

7) I'm a white woman in New York State, so according to all the media statistics I heard around primary time, I was supposed to be 100% gung ho for Hilary. I guess now that there's a white woman on the other ticket, I'm supposed to vote for McCain.

pssssssttt....I voted for Obama in the primary and I will again November.

8) Feminist. Hillary supporter. I now back Obama (and my right to choose). Palin or not.

McCains chick strategy was a little transparent. And in this way, it still makes a woman "under" a man's power, so it doesn't make a huge dent in the feminist movement...though I like where they're going with all this.

10) OK, I know nothing about this woman and it does not affect my vote whatsoever, but really, folks we are making history here! I don't give a shit why McCain picked Palin, we have a black man running for president and a woman in the vice president slot running on the other ticket!! That is awesome to an old broad like me!!!!!

13) Wait - Beaner thinks Gov. Palin is a "real woman" but but but she works for a living.....she is not at home raising her 5 kids....she is not pregnant, barefoot and in the kitchen cooking dinner for her man. I thought to be a "real woman" you had to be subservient to your man.

17) I would advise that all of the undecided voters evaluate candidates on their merits, personally I believe that a woman that has coped with major family crises (new born with CP) would draw more voters to her than a male old enough to be a grand father that has done but serve in government. If you are building you concept of a real woman being Hil, you in for a rude awaking.

20) This was not a stunt to pick Palin. She is intelligent, experienced, accomplished, confident, and represents the party's core values well. No one is going to win this race with 60% of the vote or more, so the opposition is expected. But folks, please find good arguments (some of you have). This woman is solid and some independents will be attracted. That is a fact.

24) Brian: You remember that many reporters were saying that would be an October surprise in the election activity, well it just got moved forward to 29 August, 2008. The pick is good because not only is government servant and former oil driller on the Alaska Pine Line, she has had very responsible jobs in an energy production. Another thing about her is that she is easy to look at and looks bring in votes.Compared to several democrat woman: Hil, Nancy P., and MOB, she and Mrs. McCain win the beauty contest going away. Oh, by the way throw CC in there, she doesn't compare either.

29) Anti-choice, creationist, wtf, Brian, how is this not a stunt to appeal to Evangelicals? It’s all they have left. They’re obliviously not going for independent voters. McCain can no longer call out Obama for his inexperience. She’s been Governor for a year and half, before that a mayor for 6 or 9 thousand people. McCain lost this election today. If McCain drops dead, you feel comfortable having her lead this country when she doesn’t know what the Vice President does? Please explain this to me.

Palin: "[A]s for that V.P. talk all the time, I’ll tell you, I still can’t answer that question until somebody answers for me what is it exactly that the V.P. does every day? I’m used to being very productive and working real hard in an administration. We want to make sure that that V.P .slot would be a fruitful type of position, especially for Alaskans and for the things that we’re trying to accomplish up here for the rest of the U.S., before I can even start addressing that question."

As scandals goes, I’m marginally impressed with her record for a republican.

Mrs. Palin is very attractive; however, she has done several things in Alaska that obama hasn't done in Chitown and number one is that she destroyed a corrupt state government and she had made sure that each Alaskan native gets an annual share of the oil revenue generated in Alaska each year.

66) WOW - I am amazed - so from what I understand of Beano's posts - a real woman "supports" her man - LOL - hahahahaha I find that amusing in quite a few way - (keep in mind this in no way is intended to insult the love of my life, my Boz) but I have more education and the capability of making more money then he does - therefore - technically I do "support" him. Menawhile - he is happy doing the job he does and he contributes to the household in other ways - including child care, house cleaning and cooking. We are partners - neither one of us is superior

I also like to play golf (disc golf) and I like a wide variety of beers and hanging out with the "boys". I am also work in a male dominated field as a paralegal and can run circles around the vast majority of the male attorneys I encounter because they have no clue how to multi-task, organize or prioritize ANYTHING. And I do all of those things very well in order to create a wonderful balance between raising a family with 3 children and working in a demanding job. I am there if my children are sick, I am at their recitals, performances and school events and I stall manage to have an extremely challenging professional career. So I truly am "all Woman". BTW - I am fairly sure this will not be an insult to any of the men on this board - keep in mind - without a woman - none of you would be here. If the world were only populated with men, civilization would die because I have never met a man who even thought he would be able to handle nin months of pregnancy and the labor and bring life into this world.

67) It is well known that the knife is the weapon of choice for most female killers. Something about it being more personal or even deeper a kind of "reverse penetration." so back stabbing does make sense. LOL
Also I saw my brother dropped to the floor by a kidney stone and from what I hear its the closest to the pain of child birth us guys can have. So no thank you. Though I think you'll agree without men none of us would be here either.

68) I totally agree without men - we would not be here. Takes both male and female to keep the species going. In a way that was kinda my point - partners - no matter who is "supporting" who - it all boils down to a partnership and should never be about whether male or female is superior to the other. Both genders have their own specific strengths.
