I *heart* PEANUT BUTTER & CHOCOLATE
Seriously. It's a drug. It's bliss to me.
We just moved to Germantown, WI a few weeks ago and between the new baby and thousands of boxes, we're still trying to get acclimated to our new town. It's only about 10 miles from where we lived prior, but it's a world away in so many aspects. Definitely more small town and I love it.
There's a cute little bakery I pass every morning and decided to stop in today. I still haven't figured out if it was a good or a bad thing that I did. While I now know where to stop for any treats, I also know I will not lose anymore baby weight if I do make any more appearances.
I stumbled upon the Fudge Peanut Butter Brownie. Need I say more?

To my dearest husband (if you're reading this),
You wouldn't like it. I promise. Not even worth thinking about it. :)

Bill, Glad you agree!
YammaSue,
Germantown is about 15 minutes NW of Milwaukee. You'll run into it if you take Hwy 45 North passed the city.

Printed from Allrecipes, Submitted by Michelle Roy
2 (3 ounce) packages cream cheese, softened
1/2 cup peanut butter (5 oz)
1/4 cup white sugar (1 ¾ oz)
1 egg
2 tablespoons milk
1 cup butter or margarine, melted (2 sticks)
2 cups white sugar (14 oz)
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
3 eggs
3/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder (2 ½ oz)
1 1/4 cups all-purpose flour (6 ¼ oz)
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 cup semisweet chocolate chips (6 oz)
Directions
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease one 9x13 inch baking pan. In a medium bowl, beat cream cheese, peanut butter, 1/4 cup white sugar, 1 egg, and milk until smooth. Set aside.
In a large bowl, mix together melted butter, 2 cups white sugar, and vanilla. Mix in the remaining 3 eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition. Combine flour, cocoa, baking powder, and salt; mix into the batter. Stir in chocolate chips.
Remove 1 cup of the chocolate batter. Spread the remaining batter into the prepared pan. Spread the peanut butter filling over the top. Drop the reserved chocolate batter by teaspoonful over the filling. Using a knife, gently swirl through the top layers for a marbled effect. Bake in preheated oven for 35 to 40 minutes, or until a wooden toothpick inserted near the center comes out almost clean. Cool completely, then cut into bars.
I made your double chicolate cookie recipe but baked them as bars and not cookies and they were fantastic!! I served them warm with a little vanilla ice cream and hot fudge sauce!!! Wow!! Of course I took out all the calories before serving!!
Thanks for sharing all your wonderful recipes!!
This one sounds relatively easy but I have lots if you prefer one with cocoa or something. :) Glad to be of assistance!!
Best Chocolate Frosting
Recipe courtesy Lynn Kearney for Food Network Kitchens
Yield: enough to frost a 9 inch 2 layer cake
3 ounces unsweetened chocolate
3 tablespoons butter
3 cups confectioners' sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
3 to 8 tablespoons milk
In a double boiler over hot water melt chocolate with the butter. Remove from heat and allow to cool for 5 minutes. In an electric mixer add chocolate mixture and confectioners' sugar. Beat until mixture resembles chalky beads. Add the vanilla and the milk 1 tablespoon at a time until a spreadable consistency is reached. Beat until fluffy -- adding more milk if necessary.
**you could do the chocolate and butter in the microwave--just watch it and don't burn it**
